Ralph Dono Terry, 95, of Roby passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 in Waxahachie, TX. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Roby Church of Christ, in Roby, TX. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is set for Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan, from 6pm-7pm.
Ralph Dono Terry was born June 30, 1922 in Fisher County, TX to Pink Thomas Terry and Orpha Abigale (Stuart) Terry. Dono left home to join the Army Air Core in 1942 and bravely served his county as a B-25 mechanic until the end of WWII in 1945. He was stationed in Enid, Oklahoma and achieved the rank of Sargent. He married the love of his life, Lois Irene Nichols, on April 8, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma. After the war, Dono and his family returned to Fisher County where he began farming on his family farm; except for 6 months in 1953 when he and his family moved due to the severe drought. Dono returned to Fisher County and resumed farming for the majority of his life. Years later, he began ranching and raising beef cattle as well. Dono had a true passion for arrow head hunting and had amassed quite a collection over the years, which he proudly displayed. He was also a sports fan, and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. In his later years, Dono and Lois enjoyed traveling together and visiting different parts of the country. Dono was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
Dono was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Irene Terry; his parents, Pink and Orpha Terry; his siblings; Kermit Terry, Thurman Terry, Mary Lou Fuller, Billy Ray Terry, Cullen Terry, and Juanita Terry; as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law.
Dono is survived by his sons, Jack Terry of Sweetwater and Gary Terry and wife Connie of Abilene; his daughter, Janet Price and Husband George of Waxahachie; his sister, Dorothy Guelker; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolences. I can only imagine how hard this is for you. We were never created to live and then die; that wasn’t Jehovah’s purpose for us
(Genesis 1:27,28.) Our loving creator is hurting just the same right now over this horrific loss and already has plans to swallow up death forever - Isaiah 25:8. Please allow this hope through Gods word to help you cope during your time of bereavement
