ROTAN ARDELL COLLEEN CROSS FLOYD, 91, died Thursday August 9, 2012 at Fisher County Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday August 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Rotan with Bro. Jim Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Belvieu Cemetery under the ion of WeathersbeeRay Funeral Home. ation will be Sunday evening from 5:006:00 at the funeral home. Born August 11, 1920 in Newman, TX, Ardell was the daughter of the late John and Gladys Reeves Cross. Ardell was a lifelong resident of Fisher County. She married Richard Floyd on December 5, 1936 in Roby. Ardell was a homemaker and helped Richard with their farm. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and a very active member of First Baptist in Rotan where she taught Sunday school for sixty years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons Richard Floyd, Jr. and Terry Lynn Floyd.

Ardell is survived by her son and daughterinlaw, Gary and Gloria Floyd of Rotan her daughterinlaw, Carol Floyd of Rotan five grandchildren, Ricky Floyd and his wife Elaine of Fredrick MD, Denese Hoffman and her husband Robert of Rotan, Matt Floyd and his wife Candy of McCaulley, Anita Maxwell and her husband Craig of Big Spring and Billy Floyd and his wife Stacy of Roby eight greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild.
