Benita Molina Carrillo, 89, of Rotan passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, in her home in Rotan surrounded by her loving family. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel.
Benita Carrillo was born April 3, 1928, to Maria Cruz Herrera and Julio Molina. She married the love of her life, Paulo Carrillo, Sr., on April 29, 1944, in Clairmont, Texas. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Benita enjoyed quilting, being outside working in her yard, and ironing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Benita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Joe Carrillo, a daughter, Mary DeLeon, one granddaughter, Jennifer Yanez, two brothers, and two sisters.
Benita is survived by five sons and their wives, Paul (Rosemary), Raymond "Hoss" (Mary Grace) of Rotan, Julio (Saralyn) of Fort Worth, Ernest "Ernie" (Diane), and Timothy "Tim" (Sharon) of Sweetwater; six daughters, Sue Barrera, Chris (Epifanio) Gaspar, Hope (Joe) Granado, Irma (Freddy) Carreon, Laura (Rodney) Tankersley, all of Rotan, and Stella (Alex) Garcia of Sweetwater; son-in-law Henry DeLeon of Fort Worth; and daughter-in-law Mary Helen Carrillo of Fort Worth; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Pete Molina, Tony Molina, and Joe Molina; two sisters, Delores Thatch and Inez (Dario) Cedillo; one brother-in-law Luis (Sue) Carrillo, one sister-in-law Tive Maldonado; thirty-two in-laws, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
