Bettie Rivers

Bettie Rivers, 86, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan.  Services will be 1:00 pm Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Roby with burial to follow in the Roby Cemetery.

Bettie was born in Fisher County on April 9,1936 to Wayne, and Floy (Headstream) Pursley. She married Archie Rivers on January 7, 1956.Bettie worked in Fisher County Clerck’s office for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Roby. She loved to quilt but her favorite job was being Nana!  She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne, and Floy Pursley; husband, Archie Rivers; daughter-in-law, Saundra Rivers; and her sister Bonnie Bryan.

Bettie is survived by her sister Lena Moore; two sons, Dwaine Rivers and his wife Judith of Boerne, and Kevin Rivers of Roby; four granddaughters, Tiffany Kelly and husband Chance, Mackenzie Rivers, Morgan Rivers, and Misty Austermann; great grandchildren Peyton Kelly, Paxtyn Kelly, Madison Castillo, and Mackenzie Castillo.

We know she’s dancing and singing in heaven we love you Nana!
