Clara Speed

Clara Flo Speed of Sweetwater passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, May 27 at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Rotan, Texas, with burial to follow in Roby Cemetery. There will be a visitation for the family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Clara was born on April 13, 1949 in Abilene. Texas to Clarence McCombs and Flora T. McCombs. She worked for thirty years as a server. After retiring she worked as a home caregiver. She was a kind, loving and beautiful woman who will be missed by all those who loved her.

She is survived by her husband, George Speed; her sister Rayenona Davis; five children, Richard Wheeler Jr., Robert Wheeler, Wilma Sharla Deering, James Speed, and Samantha Flannagan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
