Don Allen

Don J Allen, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Aspermont, Texas. A Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Don was born in Jones County, Texas on February 26, 1936 to the late Frank and Ruby Allen. He was a graduate of McCaulley High School, joined the Army, served in the Korean War and returned to Hamlin, Texas where he raised four children. Don was a farmer and a rancher all his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #958.

Don is survived by his sister, Annita Yates; two sons, Mike and Laveta Allen and Greg Allen; daughters, Jonelle and Alan Adelhardt, and Lea Ann Allen; six grandchildren, Toby and Staci Allen, Alicia and Will Gruben, Jeffrey Allen, West and Marlene Allen, Justin Allen, and Shelby and James Gruben; five great-grandkids, and one on the way; two nephews, Russell and Mark Yates; and other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
