Dorothy Browne

Rotan- Dorothy (Cotten) Browne, 90, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in Jayton.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Rotan.  Visitation will be after the celebration of life at the church, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born January 19, 1930, in Crane County, Dorothy was the daughter of late J.B. and Rosa (Davis) Cotten.  She served Borden County as a deputy, before being elected as County and District Clerk from 1966-1994.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rita Janice Morgan; one great granddaughter, Jasmine Gibson; one sister, Virginia Hassell; and one brother, J.B. Cotten. IV

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Kincheloe; five grandchildren, JJ Kincheloe (Sherry), Jana Haynes (Marshall), Jennifer Goodwin (Josh), Jonathan Morgan, Jerrica Cluff (Asa); sister Jean Laird (Bob); twelve great-grandchildren.
