It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy (Dot) Lee Harper, who departed this life on December 4, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on April 1, 1948, in Jayton, Texas, Dorothy lived a life full of love and devotion to her family, which she cherished above all else. A loving homemaker, she dedicated herself to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her loved ones, embodying the true spirit of family.
Dorothy was known for her joyful personality, her smile lighting up any room she entered. She had an unwavering enthusiasm for attending her grandchildren's sporting events and activities, and she never hesitated to show her support. Her greatest accomplishments were, without a doubt, her children and grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Dorothy's commitment to her family was evident in every sacrifice she made and in every moment she spent with them.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Harper; her son, Chad Harper; her daughter, Chimene Escobar; her cherished grandchildren, Hunter Tate, Lily Tate, Atlee Escobar, Grip Escobar, Rush Escobar, Justin Harper, and Tanya Shouest; and her great-grandchildren, Rylee and Cylus. Dorothy is also survived by her brother, Ray John Harrison, and her sister, Frankie Harrison Smith.
In memory of Dorothy (Dot) Lee Harper, visitation will be held on December 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Jayton, located at 110 Travis St., Jayton, TX 79528. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Dorothy joins her beloved parents, Frank and Lavrna Helen Harrison, and her granddaughter, Caitlyn Harper, in eternal rest. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
