Eddie Jean Banks

Eddie Jean Banks, age 71, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. She was born on November 4, 1954, in Odessa, Texas.

Eddie previously resided at the Abilene State Supported Living Center until 1992, when she moved to Angel Care in Rotan, Texas, where she continued to be surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. Eddie’s life was characterized by her sweet smile, warm spirit, and loving personality that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She was known for her gentle nature and the joy she brought to those around her. Eddie especially loved listening to books, enjoying music, and dancing, activities that reflected her vibrant spirit.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Eddie’s life will be held on February 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home, located at 111 N. McKinley Avenue, Rotan, Texas. Burial at Belview Cemetery. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of her life and legacy.

Eddie is survived by her loving family: Sue Carrillo, Buffy and Britt Sipe, Elaine Yanez, Vernell Jones, Kathy Wood, Lucia Ibarra, Bobbie Williams, Penny Moffett, Charronda Williams, Holly Noland and Sterling Bowen. We will forever cherish her smile, her kindness, and the many special moments we shared.

Eddie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
