Garland Upshaw

October 6, 1931 — December 13, 2012

Garland was a son of the late James Ernest and Velma Noles Upshaw. Garland was a lifelong resident of Fisher County. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Garland married Frances Robertson at the First Baptist Church in Sweetwater on February 26, 1953. Garland was a rancher and loved buying cattle. He also liked to make things work. Garland was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rotan. He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Nomer, Herman, and Pete Upshaw.

Garland is survived by his wife Frances of Rotan two daughters and sonsinlaw, Patti and Clay Wilfong of Rotan and Peggy and Brad Rivers of Rotan one granddaughter, Jennifer Carroll and her husband Brandon and two greatgrandchildren, Blake Riley who was born on Garlands birthday and Luke Riley a sisterinlaw, Nora Upshaw several nieces, nephews and cousins very special friends, Manuel and Susie Trujillo. .
