Helen Ruth Conner, born April 16,1931, in Waco, Texas, to Willie D Irvin and Elma Burse, passes away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. After graduating high school, Helen followed her grandmother to Rotan, Texas, in 1952. It was there she met and later married the love of her life, Clarence Conner Jr., in 1954. They hared many years together until his passing in October 1984.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Clarence Conner Jr.; two sons, Clarence Conner III and Marcus C. Conner; her brothers, Charles Irvin and Joe Irvin; and her sisters, Willie Mae Pinkard, Dorothy Nell Taylor, and Jean Turner.
A devoted and hardworking woman, Helen earned her CNA license and compassionately served her community through her work at the Rotan nursing home as well as Fisher County Hospital. Her dedication to caring for others touched countless lives.
Helen leaves behind three loving daughters: Connie Wallace (Curtis), Cathy Conner, and Sherri Flowers (Kalvin). She is also survived by a host of cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Helen dedicated her life to her family. Her home was always opened-filled with warmth, generosity, and a welcoming spirit that embraced friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, quiet wisdom, and the unconditional love she poured into everyone around her.
Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
