Jimmy Price

JIMMY CARROLL PRICE, 81, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Sweetwater. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Roby, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born November 27, 1934, in Roby, Jimmy was the son of Granville Lud and Forrest (Forrester) Price. He graduated from Roby High School, and married Sarah Jeannette Gibson on September 10, 1954, in Roby, Texas. Jimmy was the City Manager of Roby, Texas, for twenty-one years. He served his community as a member of the Roby Fire Department, the Rotan Fire Department, the Roby Lions Club, a 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, the Scottish Rite, and the Eastern Star. Jimmy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Roby, and the longtime president of the Roby Cemetery Association.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Forrest Price; and his infant granddaughter, Trisha Amy Price.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Price of Roby; one son, Rick Price and wife, Sharman, of Murphy; one daughter, Vickie L. Price of Azle; one brother, George Price and wife, Jan; one sister, Martha Keiner and husband, Cliff; one brother-in-law, Lynn Gibson; one sister-in-law, Frances Keiner and husband, Glenn; and one grandson, Kyle J. Price.
