JOHN KENNETH SMITH

JOHN KENNETH SMITH, 79 of Rotan, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
Visitation will be at 3pm and Memorial Service at 4pm on Sunday June 12th 2016 and burial will follow at the Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan Texas.
John was born in Fisher County on December 29, 1936 to Frank & Annie (Polk) Smith.
John married his soul mate and life time friend Frances Mize in Sweetwater Texas on December 13th 1958 that lasted 58 years.
They were blessed with 7 children, 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
John had a love for farming, horses, coon hunting & John Wayne movies.
He lived well, laughed often and loved his family. He was the strength and foundation of his family.
John was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Frances Smith & Son Johnny Lee Smith. Brothers; Jurden Clyde Smith, Lee Franklin Smith, Perry Conway Smith, Billy Ray Smith, Lewis Stewart Smith, David Leon Smith, Tommy Joe Smith and Sister; Gladys Maxine Smith.
He is survived by His Daughters; Billie Smith of Ballinger, Fleeda Briscoe and husband Jerry of Rotan, Dixie Neves and husband Kris of Rotan, Peggy Jones and husband Glenn of Sweetwater. Sons; Charles Smith and Leslie Morgan of Rotan and Russell Smith and wife Janie of Snyder.
He is also survived by 25 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul Bearers will be Kenneth Messick, Kristian Neves, Kaleb Messick, Kristopher Smith, Zach Jones, Kristopher Messick & Milton Wood.
