Karen Darlene Driver, a radiant and joyful spirit known for her deep love of crafts, lively conversations, and unwavering dedication to her community, passed away on May 31, 2026. Born on February 24, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, Karen’s vibrant presence touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Karen was a lifelong resident of Roby, TX and a graduate of Roby High School,
Karen embraced life with a zest that was truly unforgettable. She found special joy in the simple beauty of crafting, often sharing her creations and enthusiasm with others. Her love for music was epitomized by her devotion to Elvis Presley, whose songs were a constant source of happiness and nostalgia for her.
Karen’s commitment to community safety was extraordinary. She served as a Certified Storm Watcher for Fisher and Nolan County, a role she cherished deeply. Known for her reliable and spirited reports, Karen frequently contacted news stations to alert them of weather conditions, demonstrating not only her courage but also her steadfast care for the wellbeing of her neighbors.
She is survived by her aunt and devoted cousins, who will carry forward her joyful spirit and cherish the memories they shared with her. Karen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, L.A. “Pete” and Sue Dell Driver of Roby, TX, and her husband, Alfred England, whose absence leaves a profound space in the hearts of those who knew this remarkable woman.
A graveside service to honor Karen’s life will be held on June 3, 2026, 10:00 AM at Roby Cemetery in Roby, Texas. Family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and kindness are invited to pay their respects and celebrate a life lived with joy, dedication, and love.
Karen Darlene Driver’s legacy is one of heartfelt communication, joyful creativity, and devoted service. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
