June was born on July 7, 1936 in Sweetwater, Texas to parents Ralph Hollis and Cordelia Yeargan. June married her soul mate Jimmy Wright on June 18, 1955. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. What a legacy!! June is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jimmy Wright, 4 daughters Judy Clark of Pecos and husband Gary, Jan Harvey of Sweetwater and husband Chuck, Jill Wright of Wolfforth, Jennifer Williams and husband Tony of Queen Creek, Arizona, 7 grandchildren Courtney Stone and husband Chris, John Marvin Clark and wife Denim, Dianne Hethcoat and husband Cody, Trey Harvey and wife Kendra, Jason Durham and fiancé Kelsey Miller, Taylor Reed and husband Bryan, and Ty Tiner, and 8 great-grandchildren, Jade and Roxton Stone, Harlee Clark, Kambri Hethcoat, Emery, Callen and Krew Harvey, and Jaden Durham. Nephews Jon Hollis (Sylvia) and Ralph Hollis (Ellen) and family of Kansas.

When you think of June, you think of many things but most of all LOVE. She loved her family fiercely. Her husband, girls and her grandchildren were everything to her. She had a unique way of touching peoples lives and making them feel special. She worked at Fisher County Hospital for over 25 years and everyone that knew her loved her. She loved sports, from watching her girls when they were younger, to her grandchildren later in life, she loved to support her family. She loved basketball, football, baseball and rodeo on TV. She definitely loved our Cowboys, but later in life Patrick stole her heart and made her a Chiefs fan. Basketball was her favorite. If there was a game on, you knew she was watching it. She knew every player, even who was on the naughty list.

In October of 2025, June and Jimmy sold their home of 60 years in Roby, and moved to The Heritage House in Rotan. There June found many wonderful ladies to play cards with, bingo games and putting puzzles together. She loved sharing her days with the ladies and she laughed a lot. The staff became family, they loved her as she did them.

Over the last 6 years, June survived 1 hip surgery, 2 surgeries from a broken leg and difficulties from congestive heart failure. Over the last year, she had to learn to walk over and over again. Her attitude was always positive and determined that she would. We would like to thank the many Doctors, Nurses and Physical Therapist that took their time and compassion to work with Mom. Many of them loved her as well, even asking to be adopted as “honorary grandchildren”. Everyone at the Fisher County Hospital was her extended family. From the ambulance drivers, nurses and doctors they all would welcome her back “home” when she would arrive. We always knew that she would have the best of care.

June was an amazing cook. All of her grandchildren would tell you that Nana made the BEST FOOD, gave the best hugs and had the best lap for any of them to sit on. Her mashed potatoes were legendary and no one could master Nana’s recipe, per her grandchildren. She would welcome you into her home and whip up a meal in no time. You would always leave with a hug and a full stomach. She basically adopted two exceptional sons and their families over the years. Jeff and Deena Branson, who lived next door, and Alan and Kellie Kiker. Without these two families, life would not have been complete.

June was proceeded in death by her parents, Ralph and Cordelia Hollis, brother Ralph Hollis, Jr, and sister in law Edith Hollis. June was the best Wife, Mom, Nana and Friend. She will be dearly missed.
