Manuel Montez

Manuel was a son of the late Jose and Rita Montez. He moved to Rotan in 1946 where he farmed, worked for the City of Rotan and later retired from Fisher County in 1986. Manuel married Dolores Gonzales on June 9, 1940 in Gregory, TX. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and loved to garden and visit with friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, a son Julian Montez, and grandson Arthur Montez, a greatgreat granddaughter Ida Lee Rodriguezfour sisters, Matilda Garza, Erminia Lara, Vidalia Galvin, and Maria Yanez, and a brother Pedro Montez.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Dolores Montez, four sons and three daughtersinlaw, Jesse and Ellie Montez, John and Lisa Montez, Rick and Tanya Montez, and George Montez three daughters and two sonsinlaw, Lupe and Benito Silvas, Aurora Williams, and Rosario and Randy Thiel twentyfive grandchildren numerous greatgrandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren and greatgreatgreat grandchildren three sisters, Angie Garza, Juanita Gomez, and Jesusa Torres. .
