Margaret Ramirez Garcia

Margaret Ramirez Garcia, 71 of Rotan, passed away August 6,2023. Funeral services will be at 9:00 am Wednesday, August 9,2023 at the Church of Christ in Rotan, Texas with burial to follow in Belview Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Rotan Community Center.

Margaret was born in Rotan Texas on January 15,1952 to the late Silverio Ramirez and Mary Molina. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in education from Wayland Baptist College, she taught at various schools mostly in the DFW area and was a teacher for nineteen years.

In 1988, she married the love of her life, the late Pete Garcia of Rotan. Once they retired, they moved back to Rotan.

She is survived by son, Rudy, and Theresa Mendoza of Arlington; children, Victoria, Cristobal, Micaela, and Isabella; great grandchildren, Emmanuel, Elijah, Adeline, and Cristobal Jr.; Son Zack Mendoza of Grapevine and his 3 children; step-son Pete Garcia Jr. and Michael of Abilene; step-daughter Hollye Garcia and Melissa of Arlington; sisters: Mary Lujan, Terry Ramirez, Jessica Ramirez, and Sara Marsh all of Rotan, Connie Martinez of Jayton, Mary Ann and Roger Coffey and Carolyn and Keith Armstrong of Grand Prairie, Silvia and Hector Ortiz of Rowlett, Cathy and Bob Lee of Bonham and Jay and Alina Ramirez of Chicago, IL. and many, many nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ramon Morales, Jonathan Perales, Justin Ortiz, Brian James, Mark Morales, David Williams, and honorary Leah Lujan.
