Mary Frances Hudnall was born on February 12, 1930, in the Dowell Community to Ernest and Bertie Adams. She left this earthly realm on August 15, 2025, in Rotan, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.
Mary lived a life devoted to her family and her passions. As a homemaker, she created a warm and nurturing environment that many were fortunate to experience. Her talents stretched beyond the home; she was an adept tractor driver, a skilled seamstress, and a great cook. Mary was also a gifted piano player and had an undeniable love for music that filled the hearts of those around her. She had a special affinity for playing dominoes, a pastime often enjoyed with family and friends, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as the games continued.
On December 24, 1947, Mary married the love of her life, Eugene Hudnall. Together, they shared a beautiful journey, rooted in faith and love until his passing. Mary’s deep love for God was ever-present, guiding her actions and the way she cared for those dearest to her.
She is survived by her beloved son, David Hudnall, and his wife Odie; her grandson Lance Hudnall and wife Becky; her granddaughter Kimberly Hudnall and husband Mike Cook; and her great-grandchildren, Cutter Lange, and London Hudnall, who brought her immense joy. Additionally, Mary cherished her great-great-grandchild, Charile Hudnall, who was a testament to her family’s rich legacy.
Mary embraced her step-grandchildren, including Jason Hernandez and wife Mariso, Leslie Rivera and husband Eddie, Bryan Thomason and wife April, and Randy Thomason and wife Jamie, extending her warmth to their children—her many great-grandchildren: Jace, Ethan, Mikaela, Kimberly, Abraham, Xaylei, Nahla, Nickolai, Brailey, Zachary, Jessie, Riley, and Ryan. She also welcomed her great-great-grandchildren, Octavia and Freya, into her heart, relishing each precious moment spent with them.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her beloved parents Ernest and Bertie Adams, and two brothers, Roy Adams and Paul Adams. Their absence is felt deeply, but Mary’s spirit and the love she imparted will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
As we gather to celebrate Mary’s life, we hold fast to the memories created through her loving spirit, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering faith. She leaves a profound impact on all our lives and will be missed immensely. It is said that those we love never truly leave us, and as we remember Mary Frances Hudnall, we find comfort in knowing that her love endures through us all.
