Nancy Cheyne

Nancy Cheyne, 77, of Jayton passed away Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 in Jayton. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at the Jayton Community Center. Burial will take place at 11am, on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bluff Dale, TX. Visitation is set for 6pm-8pm, Friday, September 29th, 2017, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home, in Rotan.
Nancy Jane (Hines) Cheyne was born August 8th, 1940, in Rule, TX, to Home Hines and Bobby (Kelly) Hines. She married the love of her life, Olen R. Cheyne on August 15th, 1958 in Rotan. Nancy graduated from nursing school on August 5th, 1977; earning her LVN license. The majority of her career was spent working in the Jayton and Spur nursing homes. Nancy was a skilled gardener and loved working in her yard and gardens. She was also a big animal lover; especially when it came to her dogs and cats. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Olen Cheyne, Sr; and her parents, Homer and Bobby Hines.
Nancy is survived by her children, Olen R. Cheyne, Jr and wife Tina, of Puyallup, WA, Michele Fager and husband Dale, of Jayton, TX, Myra Johnson of Abilene, TX and Melissa Usleton and husband Gary, of Jayton, TX; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
