Nell Harrison

Marie was a daughter of the late Dennis and Lillie Peek Harrison. Marie married Verdie Melvin Mutt Harrison on February 3, 1934 in Jayton. Marie and Mutt lived many places throughout west Texas. She worked outside the home in each new town, from Ralls, TX at a Nursing Home to the Levi Strauss plant in Stamford, TX and at the church camp in Lueders, TX. In her spare time Marie enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and was known to be a wonderful cook. Marie was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was baptized in a stock tank in Kent County as were many people during that time. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Joan Callendar, two brothers, and four sisters.
Marie is survived by her son and daughterinlaw, JW Buddy and Martha Harrison of Lubbock her daughter and soninlaw, June and Jess Callendar of Odessa six grandchildren eight greatgrandchildren four greatgreat grandchildren and her sister, Bonnie Logsdon.
