Ramona Almanza

RotanRamona Martinez Almanza, 60, passed away Friday, November 6, 2014, in Rotan. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, 10, 2014, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Belvieu Cemetery. Born December 19, 1953, in Rotan, Ramona was the daughter of the late Amado Lopez and Emelia Sanchez Martinez. She married Thomas Almanza and later separated, but remained the of friends. Ramona enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, working in the yard and was an immaculate housekeeper. She was a member of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
Ramona is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ruben Martinez, and one sister Victoria Martinez.
Survivors include five sons and daughtersinlaw, Thomas and Kristy Almanza of Abilene, George and Chasity Almanza of Sweetwater, Raymond and Lorene Almanza of Mineral Wells, Carlos and Lydia Almanza of Rotan, and Paul Almanza and Daniella Garcia of Lubbock one daughter and soninlaw, April and Bay Velasquez of Sweetwater six brothers, Juan Martinez, Amada Martinez, Joe Martinez, George Martinez, Ricky Martinez, and Robert Martinez three sisters, Rosa Martinez, Mary Salazar, and Christina Martinez one very close granddaughter, Crystal twentysix grandchildren ten greatgrandchildren and three greatgreatgrandchildren.
