Tammy Morton

Roby-Tammy Lynn Morton, 56, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, in Rotan. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Roby. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan.
Born February 19, 1960, in Snyder, Tammy was the daughter of Patsy (Newman) Ashworth and the late Joseph Leon Ashworth. She married Ricky Morton in Colorado City on August 16, 1991. Tammy served as the Fisher County Justice of the Peace for nine years. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she enjoyed taking care of them. She also enjoyed baseball and softball and traveling. The Texas Rangers were her favorite team. Tammy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Snyder.
Tammy is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky Morton of Roby; two sons, Kasey Herrley (Angie) and Cody Morton; two daughters, Brandie Barrera and Tana Mortan; one brother and sister-in-law, Laney and Julie Ashworth; one sister and brother-in-law, Threasa and Mark Ray; seven grandchildren, McKenzie, Korbin, Gageden, Gunner, Hayden, Jameson, and Braxten; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Razzie, Koda, Heidi, and Lena.
