Teresa Tankersley

TERESA LOU (ALLEN) TANKERSLEY, 66, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, at her home in Rotan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Rotan, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born October 7, 1949, in Hamlin, Teresa was the daughter of William Robert "Buddy" and Lettie (Franklin) Allen. She attended school in Hamlin, and married the love of her life, Jackie Ladell Tankersley, on December 28, 1967, in Hamlin. The couple moved often to follow Jackie's Army career and bridge and road construction career before settling in Rotan in 1994. Teresa enjoyed being outside and working on her yard. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Tankersley; her parents, Buddy and Lattie Allen; and her brother, Robert Allen.
Teresa is survived by two sons, Randall Tankersley (Karen) of Sherman and Wayne Tankersley (Rick) of San Angelo; one daughter, Penny Moffett (Patrick) of Rotan; one brother, Tommy Allen of Ballenger; two sisters, Sue Howard (Billy) of Blue Ridge and Carla Head (Ronnie) of Ballenger; five grandchildren, Tony Ruth, Erin Moffett, Morgan Moffett, Michael Moffett, and Abby Moffett; and one great-grandson, Stetson Ruth.
