Wanda Fay McSpadden was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on November 24, 1929. She passed away at Spring Oak Nursing Home in Lampasas, Texas on February 19, 2015 at the age of 85. Fay graduated from Rotan High School in 1947. She grew up helping her dad with the family dairy business and cotton farming. Fay worked many years as a bookkeeper for the Jack Allen Service Station in Rotan. She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Margaret McSpadden, and brothers Wayne McSpadden and James Doyle McSpadden. She is survived by her niece and husband, Tina McSpadden and Gilbert Riojas; nephew and wife James Doyle "Chip" and Sandy McSpadden; niece and husband Roxann and Lee Hays; sister-in-law and husband Ouida and Tom Schliesing; great nieces and nephews: Gilly Riojas, Jamie Hall, Caitlin Riojas, Ryan Riojas, Heston McSpadden, Tonya Wilemon, Shanlee Hays, Cade Hays, and great-great nieces and nephews: Jackson Hall, Tanner "Blue" Hall, Madelynn Fay Hall, Rylynn Riojas, and Colt Wilemon.
