Willie Smith

Dee was born January 18, 1922 to Ira and Thoma Miller Morrow in Rotan. She graduated from Rotan High School in 1938. Dee married Elton Upshaw March 26, 1939 in Fisher County. Elton passed away in 1949. She then married Leon Moore May 26, 1951. They lived in Hamlin for a few years and then moved to Abilene where she worked in the hospital at Dyess Air Force Base until retiring. Leon passed away in 1985. In December 1985, Dee married Wayne W. Smith. They loved to travel throughout the United States and Canada in their motor home. He passed away in 2008 and she moved to Granbury the next year to be near her family. Dee enjoyed playing quotEightyfourquot and Bridge, but she especially loved being with her grandchildren. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Abilene and taught Bible studies in the nursing home. Dee is preceded in death by her three husbands, parents, sister Neva Carlton, two brothers Wendell and Wayne Morrow, niece Wendi Morrow and greatnephew Tyler Morrow. .
