Betty Alread

May 11, 1931 — February 8, 2021

Betty “June” Keener Alread passed away peacefully February 8, 2021 with her daughters by her side. She was born May 11, 1931 in Rotan, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Lola Keener and brother Albert Kenneth.  She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Lori and Daniel Wright and Nicole and Richard Beavers, five grandchildren, Kambree and her husband Russell Baxter, Blythe and her husband Austin Kubin, Cayla Wright, Micah Wright and Carter Beavers, her sister Enid Thomas and her brother Bill Keener and numerous nieces and nephews.

June had a variety of careers throughout her lifetime including day care center director, insurance agent, apartment manager, and retail associate.  Finances being scarce during the depression combined with June’s passion for fashion, she learned to design and sew her own clothes.  She was so good at it that others requested she make clothing for them. This allowed her to build her own designer wardrobe by sewing for others as long as they provided enough material for her to make her own as well.  June not only sparkled on the inside, but on the outside as well.

June’s determination to overcome, helped to mold her into the encourager and positive influencer of many lives. From work associates, neighbors, family, and friends, none were left unaffected or untouched by June's positivity.  As June aged and her memory declined, she still maintained her style and makeup daily.  She continued to encourage other aging people by telling them that Jesus loved them and sharing a mint.

The world is a better place because of the lives that June has touched.  She loved her family and they loved her.

June is now in heaven with Jesus helping to plan a party for when we all meet her there.  I'm sure it will be spectacular.
