Billie Lois (Haggard) Wetsel passed away  Friday, October 8, 2021.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the Roby United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born February 9, 1928, in Sweetwater, Billie was the daughter of Clifford Haggard, and Sammye (Richardson) Haggard. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1945. Billie married Parker Wetsel on January 5, 1947. After her kids were out of school, she worked as a secretary for the city of Roby for fifteen years. Billie was a fabulous cook. She enjoyed quilting, painting, gardening, and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Billie helped with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, and was a member of the Roby Gardening Club and a faithful servant and member of the Roby Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Parker Wetsel; son, Barron Wetsel; and two sisters, Mary Jane Barnes, and Beth Dulaney.

Survivors include her daughter Rebecca McReynolds and husband Robert; five grandchildren, Dawn Wells (Chuck), Dusty Hickman (Darcy), Casey Wetsel (Shandra), Sammi Nelson (Cory), and Bailey Farr (Michael); twelve great grandchildren, Caleb, Seth, Kayden, Katie, Jaycee, Riley, Ellie, Jackson, Avery, Kelby, Marley, and Jay Miller.
