Roby- Domingo Ruiz Flores, 92, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fisher County, Texas. Burial will follow in El Ranchito Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home of Rotan. Rosary will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m.
Born March 10, 1927 in Hamlin, Texas, Domingo was the son of the late Yrineo and Francisca Flores. He served during WWII and in the Korean War. He married Maria F. Flores on December 18, 1951. He was a farmer. Domingo liked raising farm animals and gardening. He loved spending time with his family. Domingo was known for telling stories about the past. He will be remembered as a strong, hardworking and loving man. He was always helpful to others in their time of need. His famous words of wisdom were, “put up or shut up” from the Boss.
Domingo was preceded in death by his wife, Maria F. Flores; daughter, Rosa Cazares; son, Guadalupe Flores; grandson, Richard Flores Jr; granddaughter, Regina Flores; great grandson, Rudy Ramon III; great-great-grandson, Jahseh Daye; great-granddaughter, Mariah Taylor; and great-great granddaughter, Aaliyah Daye.
He is survived by one brother, Cosme Flores; one sister, Tecla Rangel; four sons, Ricardo Flores, Andres Flores, Raul (Rudy) Flores and wife Carolyn, and Ramiro Flores and wife Melissa; five daughters, Delfina Flores, Irene Escobar and husband Elias, Angelina Melena and husband Juan, Julia Hernandez, and husband Efrain, and Maria F. (Socorro) Flores Cavazos. Domingo was also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
