Gloria Floyd passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021. She was born in Terrell, TX on December 17, 1945. She is the daughter of RW and Willena (West) Browne. She was preceded in death by her parents, RW Browne and Willena (West) Browne. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gary Floyd. She is also survived by her 3 children and spouses, Matt Floyd and wife Candy, Anita Maxwell and husband Craig, and Billy Floyd and wife Stacy, along with 6 grandchildren, Zachary Floyd, Jared Floyd, Tyler Floyd, Braden Maxwell, Barrett Floyd, and Savannah Floyd, 2 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Bonnie McKeller of Midland.

Gloria had a passion for education. She loved teaching, but she loved her students more. She thrived on teaching people to read and loved seeing the light in their eyes when they began reading on their own. Gloria was a very active adult leader in 4-H. She coached two teams that won the state competition in Family life Demonstration contest. She loved helping her kids as well as other kids in Fisher County with their 4-H projects. She was an avid gardener and loved beautiful flowers and landscaping.

Gloria will be greatly missed and in our thoughts forever. Services to be held at First Baptist Church Roby in on Thursday February 18th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Roby, a church she greatly loved.
