John Beyer

John Joe Beyer was born December 31, 1934 to Annie Langhammer and Joe Beyer in LaGrange Fayette County, Texas.  He passed away December 9, 2020. Viewing and visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2020 from 9:00 until 10:30 at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home, Rotan, Texas with graveside service following at Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan.

John married Shirley Eaton on December 22, 1961.  He proudly served our Country in the United States Marines during the Korean War.  He retired from Baker-Hughes Centrilift Division where he was an electrician.  John was a member of the Electric International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo Beyer, Norbert Beyer, and Willie Beyer; and sisters Mary McClanahan and Annie Kunschick.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Abilene; son and daughter-in-law Craig and Jerolyn Beyer of Abilene; daughter and son-in-law Mechelle and Tom Stevens of Cypress; granddaughter Mckenzie Stevens of Cypress; brothers Joe Beyer of Columbus, Texas and Henry Beyer of Weimer, Texas; honorary grandchildren, Jared Thornhill, Sara Garza, and Regan Lindsey; many friends and several nieces and nephews.
