Mabel Warren went to be with our Lord and Savior peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home in Midland, TX. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of passing.

Mabel was the daughter of Louis and Ada Perry and born on February 23, 1915 in Eskota, TX. She was the eighth child out of 10 children.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Martin Warren; two sons M.D. Warren, and Tommy Warren; one grandson Marti Warren; two son in laws Roy Klett, and Doug Smith; one daughter in law Edna Warren; as well as all nine of her siblings.

She was a current member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. She was a former faithful member of Sardis Baptist Church until its closing and then Cross Roads Baptist Church of Rotan, TX. Mabel was a farmer's wife and homemaker. She made it a priority to read her Bible and devotional daily as well as starting and ending the day in prayer. Her favorite pastime was quilting, quilting 100’s of quilts throughout the years and making sure every new grand baby was welcomed with a quilt she had made. She also enjoyed playing Skipbo, and any other card game or dominoes anyone was willing to play with her. She loved to fellowship with others often bringing her famous TV snack, or puppy chow to whatever event she attended. She loved ice cream and had it daily. She was a resident of Fisher County for over seventy years before moving to Midland with her daughter Neta who was her caregiver. On her 100th birthday, a Proclamation was made in Fisher County making February 23, 2015 Mabel Warren Day. She was a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 50 great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ida Klett of Benbrook, TX, Neta Smith of Midland, TX, and Leta and son in law Bill Jones of Midland, TX; one daughter in law Darlene Warren of Early, TX; grandchildren Ester Derington, David Warren, Paul Warren, Rebecca Warren, Tammy Cotton, Melinda Ethridge, Jimmy Klett, Micheal Klett, Bobby Hendrix, Max Hendrix, Barry Hendrix, Julie Oxedine, Jeanna Willhelm, Danny Jones, Darla Tuiasosopo, Tabitha Castillo

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jimmy Klett, Michael Klett, David Warren, Paul Warren, Bobby Hendrix, Max Hendrix, Barry Hendrix, and Danny Jones.

Honorary pallbearers great grandsons James Derington, Matthew Derington, Joe Warren, Samuel Warren, Nick Warren, Thomas Wessels, Warren Ethridge, Nolan Ethridge, Michael Warren, Daniel Warren, Jason Hendrix, Jesse Hendrix, Baron Hendrix, Chase Pendergrass, Zach Jones, Caleb Tuiasosopo, Colton Tuiasosopo, Christian Tuiasosopo, Cameron Tuiasosopo, and Colt Castillo.

An outdoor service and burial will be held Friday January 22, 2021 at 3:00pm at Sardis Cemetery on FM 1657 with great grandson Warren Ethridge officiating. Services are under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home of Rotan, TX. The family will be available before and after the services at the cemetery in order to greet guests. In accordance with CDC guidelines, facial masks and social distancing are required at the service.

Donations can be made in Mabel’s honor to Sardis Cemetery, Hospice of Midland, or Crestview Baptist Church.
