Mary Hawkins

Mary Annetta Taylor Hawkins went home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 23, 2022.

Mary was born April 23, 1935 in Rotan, Texas. She was the daughter of Samuel Jefferson Taylor and Gladys Mary Gaston Taylor. Mary spent the majority of her life living in Rotan. She worked from home as an Avon Representative.  Mary was very active in the Rotan VFW.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sammy who passed as an infant, Charles J. Taylor (Margie) of Oceanside California, and Wilburn Ollie Taylor of Grandbury; sister, Vonna Marie Levens (Harold) of Water Valley; daughter, Elizabeth Kay Donaghey of Rotan; and grandson, Isaac Lewis Donaghey of Rotan.

Mary leaves behind one son, Stephen Shane Hawkins, and wife Kelly of Sweetwater; granddaughters, Amber Marie Sharp (Donnie) of Anna, Texas, and April Nicole Hawkins of Sweetwater; two great granddaughters of Anna; brother Carlton Henry Taylor (Kay) of Paris, Texas; two favorite nephews, David Randall Levens (Shauna) of Water Valley and James Michael Levens (Marsha) of Snyder, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Mary treasured all her lifelong friends that she made throughout the years, and she never met a stranger.
