Pablo Gutierrez

Roby-Pablo (Paul) Gutierrez, 84 passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rotan.  Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022, at Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Paul was born June 29, 1937, in New Braunfels, TX, to Antonio and Matilde (Fuentes) Gutierrez.  He married the love of his life Isabel Luna on April 25, 1955, in Snyder.  Paul worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Snyder before retirement.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting with family and friends and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Preceded in death by his parents Antonio Sr, and Matilde Gutierrez; four brothers Antonio Jr., Tomas, Epifanio and Jose and four sisters, Julia, Concepcion, Maria, and Mercedes; and great granddaughter, Alexis R'nae Diaz. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Isabel Gutierrez; five children, Santiago (Laura) Gutierrez, Odessa TX, Linda (Johnny) De Los Santos, and Teresa Diaz, all of Roby Tx, David (Robin) Gutierrez, Sweetwater TX, Simon (Donna) Gutierrez, Snyder TX; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by each one of them.
