Robert Allan Wyscarver age 77 of Rotan, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Robert was born on March 21, 1944, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of the late Norman Roy Wyscarver and Doris Raby Wyscarver. Robert graduated from Aldine High School in Aldine, Texas in 1962 and joined the Air Force where he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and completed Air Force Technical School.

After his time in the Air Force, he went on to work for Vector Cable Company in Sugar Land, Texas and continued working in the cable manufacturing business for many years inventing, designing, and engineering cables for subsea off-shore oil industries.  He co-founded WW Products, Inc. and later consulted for Cabett Subsea in Freeport, Texas.

Robert loved spending time outdoors at his beloved Remembrance Ranch (named for remembering God’s creation) in Rotan, Texas and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved riding around on his tractor, searching for arrowheads and watching sunsets with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Robert was a skilled musician and master of any instrument he picked up despite no formal training.  He loved playing the guitar and singing, and shared his gift of music with his family, friends, and church.  He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church of Rotan, Texas.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother and father, and sisters Norma Jean Dell’Osso and Carol Wyscarver.  He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Jeanne Wyscarver; daughters Carrie and husband David King of Tyler, TX, Cynthia and husband Chris Smith of Tyler, TX, and Christin and husband Chris Roberts of Montgomery, TX; stepdaughters Brittany Richter of Lytle, TX and Amanda Parker of Leander, TX; stepsons Mark Richter and wife Lauren of Rosenberg, TX and Nicholas Richter of Honobia, OK; grandchildren Jason Wyscarver, Josh Wyscarver-Smith and wife Autumn, Andrew King, Matthew King, Hunter Roberts, Nathaniel King, Jordan Smith, Amy Roberts, Mathilda Roberts, Jezebel Losack, Josiah Losak, Jayde Losak, Colt Richter, Scarlett Richter, Avery Richter, Maximus Richter, Addison Richter, Barrett Richter, and Kaia Richter; great-granddaughter Lily Wyscarver and great-grandson Brian Wyscarver-Smith; brothers-in-law Paul Dell’Osso, Lee Verhey and wife Carol, Gwen Anslon and husband Bob, Mike Verhey and wife Lisa, and Joe Verhey and wife Victoria; sister-in-law Peggy Casey and husband George; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Viewing will be at 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM on Friday February 25, 2022, at Cross Roads Baptist Church of Rotan, Texas.
